Former Nigerian VP, Atiku Abubakar says President Goodluck Jonathan does not have what it takes to rule the country.

Former Vice President of the
Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, says
President Goodluck Jonathan is a
learner in terms of leadership and
has no experience despite being on
the mantle for over five years now.
Atiku who is a perennial contestant
in the presidential race in the
country believes he has more
experience than the incumbent and
if he is elected president in the 2015
election, he has what it takes to
move the country forward and out
of the wood it currently finds itself.
Speaking with the French News
Agency, AFP, the Adamawa State
strong man who was the number
two man from 1999 to 2007, says all
the woes and calamities befalling
the country can be traced to
Jonathan’s incompetence, especially
the insurgency that has been
ravaging the North Eastern parts of
the country for years now.
This insurgency shouldn’t have
lasted even six months.
Within weeks, we (Obasanjo and I)
crushed it because we did not
neglect military training and, of
course, we did not lack the
leadership and the capacity to take
decisions.
I told Nigerians that Jonathan did
not have the capacity; he didn’t have
the experience. He didn’t have
anything and yet they gave him the
chance, the opportunity.
And they can now see the chance
and the opportunity they gave him.
Of course, I’m more experienced
than he is.
I believe my capacity cannot be
compared with his, in all respect.
Do you think Alhaji Atiku would
fare better as president of Nigeria?
