Meet a woman whose giant br easts causes a sharp
pain surging across her chest, an ache creeping up
her neck,
causing a debilitating migraine.
Kerisha Mark, from Beaumont, Texas, US, suffers
from a rare condition gig antomastia – hypertrophy
of the breast. The rapid growth was the result
of the hor monal condition.
The woman had always had an
exceptionally large chest. But by her late 30s, her
bust had grown to a staggering 36NNN. For Ms
Mark the condition resulted in pulled chest
muscles, severe back pain and emotional distress.

She estimated her br easts weighed around 7kg
each, and said she had been forced to use duct
tape to hold them in place. Tired of her own bust
the woman finally made the decision to mark her
40th birthday by having treatment.
Dr Franklin Rose, a plastic surgeon said: “The br
easts really hung down to her hips and were
essentially like
carrying around three basketballs at all times
because they were so large. When we went into the
exam room – I don’t know if I would use this word
‘shocking’, but it was certainly startling to see br
easts of that magnitude.”
During the four-hour operation, 7kg of breast tissue
was removed, now Ms Mark is enjoying her nice
full DD cup
bust. The doctors said if her condition had been left
untreated it could have
developed into degenerative kyphosis, a condition
causing a
person’s spine to curve forward,forming a hump or
hunchback.
The indication of disease is a br east weight that
exceeds approximately 3% of the total body weight.
The enlargement can cause muscle pain, and over-
stretching of the skin
envelope, which can lead to ulceration.
